2    What kind of cattle should I bring for display?

There will be people in attendance that are interested all classes of livestock.  Bred cows, bred heifers and replacement quality heifer calves are probably most in demand and there is a great interest in bulls to improve genetics.  There may be a possibility for eligible cattle (both steers and heifers) to go into a grass finishing program.  Display pens will be available to breeders and/or producers that would like to show attendees their genetics.

3    When should the cattle arrive?

Cattle can arrive as early as 8:00 am on the 15th and have to be in by 12:00 pm the same day as the hall will open to the public at 1:00 pm. We’ve designed the seminar to be a teaching and hands on seminar.  The schedule will allow ample time for attendees to look at the cattle and ask questions, and for you to share ideas with one another.

4    Can I bring organic cattle?

Yes, we would suggest you bring you own organic hay for your cattle and they will be penned in a separate area to insure no nose to nose contact.  We will accept all classes of organic certified cattle.

5    What sizes are available for display pens?

We have one size of display pen available, a 10 x 20 for $450 prior to August 31 and $600 there after. The pens will be on a first come first serve basis until all pens are taken. Reserve a display pen today by contacting Joey Jones at joey at grassfedexchange.com or by filling out the form on the Display page.

6    Who do I contact about the seminar?

The Grassfed Exchange committee is still determining the process we are going to use to register folks for the 2012 conference. We will have a decision made soon and will let you know the process as soon is it is available.
